A couple of weeks ago, I met up with Nick and Kim who are getting married in October and having their reception at the Donington Manor Hotel in Castle Donington. It’s going to be such a beautiful wedding, the church is stunning, and the reception venue divine.

I took a few images of Nick and Kim in the gardens, making the most of the glorious summer sun.

I’m looking forward to covering your wedding day, roll on October!

Just a quick note to everyone, I'm sorry I haven't been an active blogger - I moved house! And have been busy with wedding and portrait edits.

I also need some easier blogging software!!

Some fantastic images to share coming soon, watch this space!

When Izzy’s Mum asked me to do a photoshoot with Izzy, I jumped at the chance. Izzy is an absolute delight. She is such a witty, intelligent, bright little girl, and an absolute dream in front of the camera.

Our location was local, in Riversley park, Nuneaton and we set off in hope the rain would stay away. Alas, despite a hopeful start, the rain started pounding it down, but nothing fazed Izzy. Happily donning her cute raincoat, we still had an absolute ball skipping around the park and making use of the new adventure playground.

If you would like a similar shoot, then please get in touch. It’s a superb way to capture and save a moment in your child’s childhood. A photosession that keeps a record of them being themselves. For Izzy’s parents, these photos are to mark Izzy turning five and the upcoming end to her first year at school. I look forward to shooting you again Izzy, I had a good time too!

It’s a whopper… too many photos to choose from – and this isn’t even all of them! Can I have too many photographs in a blog post? Enjoy, and if you like? Please say!  Smile

Did you enjoy the sunny weather we had over the bank holiday? What sunny weather I hear you say! Well, yes quite. It rained. A lot. Therefore we’re pretending that our bank holiday was the weekend before. Ok it was a day shorter, but the weather was perfect.

We went to Coombe Abbey in Coventry which is a wonderful place for picnics and clambering around the forest and grounds on sunny summer days. You can also get married at the wonderful historic manor house which is one of my favourite places ever for wedding photography. It is truly one of the most stunning backdrops to have on your wedding day with impeccable luxury. If you’re getting married there please shout as I’d love to cover your day!

The grounds to Coombe are vast and incredibly child friendly as well as beautiful too so we took the opportunity to take our two children out for photo opportunities in the general public area. It’s really important as a photographer to make sure that as well as taking photographs of other people, you photograph your own too! My two aren’t huge fans of having their photo taken, but I still got a few corkers. The first one of them both, is in a frame on our wall now, it was totally worth the effort!

Today I attended a Wedding Photography workshop run by the amazing Steve Gerrard. Steve is one of my favourite photographers in the UK, I adore his work and he is very highly respected in the world of Music, Wedding and Portrait Photography. I jumped at the chance to learn a few pointers about running a Wedding Photography business from a serious pro. My business is still very new, so any opportunity to hear some words of widsom from someone with a huge amount of experience, is always worthwhile. It was a great day, I met some lovely people, had some wicked sandwiches, and also had assistance by way of the ruddy marvellous Emma Case. We even got the chance to go out and about with a bride and groom around the wonderful streets of Digbeth. All due respect to the models, it was freezing! Fair play to Sarah, the bride, she was such a good sport despite wearing a dress that meant she was very exposed to the harsh winds of this chilly March day.

You can find some of my images from the session below, please note they are VERY brief edits but so much fun, I had to share. I absolutely love this kind of photography, and even have a shoot booked on Sunday where I am contemplating returning to the same spot!

If you are interested in attending a similar workshop, then please check  Steve’s blog as he has introduced more dates recently although they get booked up pretty quick!
